Editorial and data policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026.

Purpose

CoverHolder.io is a P&C insurance technology research and directory site. This policy explains how we keep editorial and comparison data separate from paid visibility, where vendor information comes from, and how we correct mistakes.

Editorial independence

Paid plans may include disclosed placement, analytics, or profile surfaces as described in our sponsored placement policy. Sponsorship and tier benefits do not change whether a capability is marked native, partial, unsupported, or unknown in founder-curated comparison matrices. Vendors cannot pay for higher editorial scores, fabricated reviews, or unverifiable claims.

Sources and verification

Directory and comparison information may be assembled from:

  • Public vendor materials (websites, documentation, press, and similar).
  • Practitioner-oriented research and structured notes maintained by the operator.
  • Corrections or additions submitted by vendors through claim, listing, or support workflows.
  • Source notes or citations where we present material claims as verified or well-supported.

When we have not verified a data point, we aim to label it clearly (for example as unknown or best-effort) rather than implying certainty we do not have.

Comparisons and feature frameworks

Category and comparison views reflect a structured feature framework designed for buyers evaluating software. The framework is maintained for consistency across vendors in a category. It is an editorial model, not an exhaustive contractual or regulatory certification of any product.

Accuracy, disputes, and refresh

Products change. We aim to refresh listings and matrices on a reasonable cadence and when we receive credible updates. If you believe public data is wrong, outdated, or misleading, use the workflow in our vendor dispute policy or contact us with specific citations (URLs, dates, and the correction you seek). During review, we may mark content as disputed or soften claims that could mislead buyers until we can verify them.

Data governance

We store operational and analytics data needed to run the site, attribute engagement to vendors fairly, and secure accounts. How we handle personal and technical data is described in our privacy policy. Use of the site is governed by our terms of use.

This page describes our editorial and data practices for transparency. It is not legal, investment, or procurement advice, and it does not replace your own diligence, pilot work, or counsel.
